Welcome

[edit]

Hello Zoso, are you from Iceland?

welcome to Wikipedia.

You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)

Fix original research issues

Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.

Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.

You might find these links helpful in creating new pages or helping with the above tasks: How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should read our policies at some point too.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. If you made any edits before you got an account, you might be interested in assigning those to your username. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp tooWould you perhaps.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.

Again, welcome!--Jondel 01:58, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Why, thank you, Jondel and, yes - I hail from Iceland. I've recently started seriously contributing here and already find it hopelessly addictive. I can see by looking at your contributions that I have much to aspire to.

Would you perhaps take a look at the pages I've edited and, if possible, pass some constructive criticism? -- Zoso 02:32, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't aspire, let it flow. I didn't try to contribute . The articles wrote themselves (through me). You'll get enough criticism and edits. Don't worry. Also there is a place in Wikipedia to submit to professionals for real edits. --Jondel 04:15, 6 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Íslandssagan

[edit]

Jamm. Það var a.m.k.

Haukurth 19:34, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

COTW Project

[edit]

You voted for Roaring Twenties, this week's Collaboration of the week. Please come and help it become a featured-standard article. Falphin 03:34, 31 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion... (I can only assume you are a Led Zeppelin fan) I think it would be creative of you to add the following to your signature:

which would give you: Alternate text here.
If not, you at least got something to add to your user page.

Classic Rock

[edit]

I assumed from your name that you might be a classic rock fan. If so, you might be interested to know that I am doing a survey to try and find the most liked classic rock song. There is more information about it on my user page. RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 02:50, 21 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Featured article for December 25th

[edit]

I noticed that you have listed yourself as an atheist Wikipedian. You will probably be interested to know that Brian0918 has nominated Omnipotence paradox as the front page article for December 25th. You can vote on this matter here. The other suggestion being supported by others for that date is Christmas, although Raul654 has historically been against featuring articles on the same day as their anniversary/holiday. Accelerated Christian Education

[edit]

Hi Zoso,

I notice that you have edited Accelerated Christian Education or Talk:Accelerated Christian Education. You may be aware that this article was tagged for clean up in September. I have started a rewrite of this article at Accelerated Christian Education/draft. Please take this opportunity to make improvements to this artlce.

Also note that material about the administration of the ACE curriculum in schools should be included in a new article at School of Tomorrow, not in the Accelerated Christian Education article.

Unspecified source for Image:Naumann.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Naumann.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:25, 22 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Lokal_Profil 20:25, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Vigdís Finnbogadóttir.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vigdís Finnbogadóttir.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 18:14, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Konstantin hierl.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Konstantin hierl.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
